Banks is proudly woman-owned and run with a lot of hustle (and a little wine).
I personally design every single piece — usually starting with a sketch, and sometimes just diving in with scissors, fabric, and a burst of late-night creativity.
If a design passes the ultimate test — the "mirror test" in my one-bedroom apartment — it moves into the sample phase.
From Sketch to Sample: Real Clothes for Real Life
Whenever possible, I sew the first samples myself. These early versions help me perfect the fit, feel, and structure that make Banks clothing so wearable. It's not just about looking good — it's about feeling good, too.
When a piece feels right, I collaborate with a trusted ethical manufacturing partner in India to produce it on a larger (but still small-batch) scale.

I personally unpack every shipment, steam each item, fold it with care, and package it beautifully — sometimes slipping in a handwritten thank-you note or a bonus hairclip as a small way to say thank you.
